philosophy
I am inspired both by what I do and where I live. Working in heritage conservation, I get inspiration from the history, patterns, colours and detail of the things I am exposed to. I come home to a place surrounded by birds, which I have been drawing since I moved here 2 years ago.
I want to make beautiful things which are obviously handmade; not quite perfect, but perfect in their own way.
My philosophy is to make beautiful things. I am inspired by pattern, decoration, detail and history. I like the look of objects that have been made by hand………..not quite perfect, but perfect in their own way. I like to know the history of an item - where it came from, who made it and what it’s story is - hopefully one day my items will have their own stories……
